Dreamstuff Youth Theatre was founded in 2001 by Mike Kelly the founder of Young Irish Film Makers. Sinces its creation it has done over 18 productions between the Watergate Theatre and other venues.

Each year it undertakes two production in the Watergate Theatre, Kilkenny. Auditions are held in Janurary for an April production and late August/early September for a December play. These productions are open to anyone 13+ and no experience is required! Rehearsals are usually held Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7-9pm and Saturday from 2-6pm, however this may change depending on availability of the people involved.

On top of our Watergate porductions we have an annual Shakespeare Festival “Shakespeare in the House” which we hold in association with Rothe House and Garden in June. This festival includes abridged versions of Shakspeares works and for some of the older members a full length production of one of his plays. To be in with a chance to take part in this all you need to do is become part of our weekly drama classes.

Dreamstuff is committed to making theatre fun and interactive for their members. We strive to get the best out of everyone involved and expect the most out of them. We except nothing but the highest standard and commitment from out members but audiences will agree that this gives pays off in laughs the week of the plays.
