The Youth Film Outreach Programme has been created to train workers and leaders responsible for running youth programmes in RAPID, disadvantaged and rural areas in all aspects of youth film making and digital production skills.
The programme is designed to be delivered through youth leaders in local Youth Services and Programmes and Family Resource Centres, Community Development and Community Health Organisations. Trainers are from Young Irish Film Makers.
Youth workers and leaders are encouraged to use volunteers, particularly senior members, to deliver their film making programme. The young people are the focus of the programme, with leaders and adult volunteers involved in the delivery of the training, supervision and support of the young people throughout the process.
