𝗔𝗻 𝘂𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗻𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁

Last Friday we hosted our first 𝗦𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗬𝗜𝗙𝗠 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀 premiere for the short film Our Song.

The film follows the harrowing conditions a young family must endure as war takes away one of their own.

This project was not only written by our students — they also cast it, organized table reads, handled dress fittings, storyboarded, created shot lists, props, location scouted, wrote the original song, animated, directed, recorded and so much more. Our students joined us in September 2024 for our first year of YIFM Weekenders, and we couldn’t have asked for a better group to launch the programme with!

‘Silent Sweethearts’ is a silent film that follows a clumsy protagonist navigating their way through the trials and tribulations of finding love.
