Young Irish Film Makers are now on the journey towards full compliance with the Governance Code: a Code of Practice for Good Governance of Community, Voluntary and Charitable Organisations in Ireland.
All Community, Voluntary and Charitable (CVC) Organisations have a responsibility to provide and follow a code of good practice when it comes to how their organisations are run. It is our responsibility as the people who run the organisation, the YIFM Board of Management – to make sure this happens.
YIFM is a well run organisation which aims to demonstrate our high standards of governance to their stakeholders. In the past some organisations have failed and been embarrassed through being run poorly and this can shatter public confidence and trust. This is why we at YIFM have begun the journey towards full compliance with Governance Code – which has been created for the sector by the sector. What does governance mean?
Governance refers to how an organisation is run, directed and controlled. Good governance means an organisation will design and put in place policies and procedures that will make sure the organisation runs effectively.
Below we have shared documents from our governance procedures and policies for our stakeholders and you the public to review. If you have any questions about Young Irish Film Makers policies or procedures you can contact us on 05677 64677 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
