After School Film Makers
Our after-school filmmaking workshops immerse students in the complete filmmaking journey, from concept to final cut. Led by skilled facilitators, students explore storytelling, camera work, sound, lighting, and editing while working with professional-grade equipment. Through guided, collaborative sessions, students gain practical technical skills, creative problem-solving abilities, and a deeper understanding of how films are made.
These frequent workshops give the students a chance to bond as a team, explore their creativity and have fun together while doing it. YIFM staff work closely with the young people to develop their skills over time working on group projects and mentoring them through individual portfolios.
WORKSHOP TIMETABLE
After School Workshops are run during the school terms at our studios in Kilkenny for young people from Kilkenny and the surrounding areas.
Young people will be grouped together according to age.
